Within the U.S., there are an estimated 80,000-90,000 new cancer diagnoses among young adults (18-39) each year.*
In 2024, 76,000 college students may be newly diagnosed with this life-threatening disease. *
Young adults are at higher risk for developing more aggressive forms of cancer, increasing the risk of treatment failure and death.*
While there is minimal data, we know that 50% of young adults have reported facing difficulties in returning back to school or work following their diagnosis despite the benefits of this engagement. *
Because of the high costs of treatment and medications, many young adults find themselves in debt and minimizing life-saving care. So, getting a degree makes it even more difficult, given the increasing rate of college costs.*
Your donation will help create scholarships to support young adults in their academic and health journey.
